RCI have got more expensive options than most other cruise lines , but the options are phenomenal because of the size of these great ships . Best ships I’ve been on but you have a price to pay for the best . Doing a back to back on harmony in April & that’ll be a tick box for the 3 largest ships in the world 😄

I agree twangster, I know others that don’t drink or don’t care about specialty dining don’t want to pay a higher fare to include that, just like my fare shouldn’t be higher to cover photo packages or child care. I’m happy to pay extra for the things I enjoy. We get great rates and perks through our TA so paying $300 extra for drinks and $90 extra for a three night dining package is worth it to us. Our friends don’t find those things to be of interest to them so they don’t buy them.

The thing is not everyone wants to or even can do the items they charge more for. On one hand I understand no one wants to pay for anything but the truth is nothing is free, and for those that don't or can't they don't want to pay higher base fares so someone else doesn't have to pay something they don't want. It's a balance and I think they have it right.

I’m not sure what you wanted to do that had to be paid for extra. Entertainment, flow rider, ice skating, slides, carousel etc are free. Specialty dining has to be paid for, but there are also plenty of complimentary options. Alcohol costs, but that’s pretty much any cruise line. Otherwise escape room, because if there wasn’t a charge they’d never be able to get 6,300 people to be able to participate. The arcade, which you’ll pay for on any trip. Photos again you’ll pay for on any cruise line. Spa, casino, shopping and bingo are about the only others which you are not going to find included by any cruise line. Balcony cabins on Oasis class are actually a bit larger than many other lines
