I very much enjoyed my cruise, it was my first one, so don’t have anything to compare it to, but I definitely plan to take more cruises and from what I hear Royal Caribbean is the best cruise line, so I plan to stay with them. This time I went without my kids, next one I plan tontake them!
Embarkation

It was my first cruise, but seemed easy enough to get on to the ship, I had all the right paper work.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

I enjoyed eating in the main dining room. My waiter and his assistant waiter were great, they remembered every night what we liked and don’t like, and always gave suggestions as to what we should try. Breakfast and Lunch in the main dining room was nice and worth a try, but I prefer the windjammer, but it was usually busy, but I love the variety of food.
Onboard Activities

There is so much to do all day and night. Some times we would have to skip one thing we wanted because it was going on at the same time as another thing. Line dancing was fun. I enjoyed the hot tubs at night when the pool decks calmed down. The fitness center had a great variety of things to do. And the shows were entertaining. I loved The Quest!
Entertainment

I enjoyed Grease and Columbus was awesome, I would of loved to watch it again! I liked the moving piano man, I saw him in the elevator once! The water show was ok, more of a long drawn out magic show, but worth the watch if there is nothing else to do, same thing with the ice staking show, it was hard to keep up with the story line.
Service and Staff

Everyone was super friendly and always willing to do whatever they could for you
Ship Quality

The ship is super clean, I saw a guy that went around and cleaned the hand rails in the stair ways and cleaned the buttons for the elevators. They clean your room twice a day. The only thing I can say about the lay out is to make sure you figure out what side of the shop you need to be on for which floor, sometimes I’d get to a floor and have to go down the cabin hallways to go to the other side.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was just my boyfriend and I, it was big enough and had plenty of space for our clothes and other items. And the plug in problem I was worried about was not an issue. The bed was comfy and I found extra bed toppers under the bed so if you need those they will put them on for you. The cabin was cleaned twice a day, which I so appreciate.
Ship tip
Figure out which side of the ship you need to be on for which floor, use the guides near the elevators, they are touch screen and very helpful. If the floor you need isn’t to many floors away take the stairs, sometimes the elevators take a long time even when you get on them, you could stop at very floor. The main dining room also severs breakfast and lunch. They have a buffet or you can be seated and severed. Don’t hesitate to ask for something. If they can get it to you they will. And enjoy!
It’s a beautiful piece of the island, but if you go down the road to the beach inside of walking closer to the beach, there is so many people trying to sell you stuff and they don’t leave you alone, they are like vultures. I was annoyed by that. But the stores not down the road we good and they didn’t act like that there. I parasailed, I don’t like heights but didn’t want to be the only one in my group not doing it, so I did it and enjoyed it! It wasn’t so scary after all.
We did the Green Grotto Caves and Dunn’s River Falls. I really enjoyed it. If you don’t like getting wet and physical activity, don’t do the River Falls. The ride to the caves was about 1 1/2 hours and the tour guide told us a lot about the history of Jamaica, which was enjoyable.
We went to Chankanaa, it was a nice experience, very pretty there. We swim in the area where the waves weren’t splashing, it was a small area but not crowded. The restaurant was a nice outdoor place, the guacamole was delicious! In the port area I found 7 T-shirt’s for $20, it was a great deal
Seemed easy enough. One of my luggage tags ripped off, but it was in the customer service area and the lady just let me know to maybe tie the same color ribbon or something on all my bags so if the tags rip off the can figure out what set of luggage it belongs with.
Isn’t cruising awesome? We felt the same way on our first cruise 8 years ago. Loved it and knew we would be doing it again. We now do 3 a year. Going on Harmony December 9th. for our 3rd. time. Great ship! Your kids will love cruising. Once we brought our kids along they were instantly hooked. Our first cruise was Carnival and the last 22 on Royal Caribbean. RC is the best! So glad you loved it and had a great experience for your first cruise.
