Review summary

Many unique features not found on other ships. Only problem was the casino, the cigarette smell was so bad if you're not a smoker you won't stay in there.

Sound system is also hard to understand no matter where you are on the ship

Im currently onboard Harmony. Half of the casino is non smoking. There are signs all over the machines and tables indicating that. There is no physical barriers though separating the smoking from non smoking sections, so the concept doesn't work. If you are a pipe or cigar smoker, you cannot smoke inside the casino. You have to go up to the smoking section on the pool deck

We wouldn't go in the casino as well! To nasty of a smell coming from it! The last ship had a non smoker section... I'm not sure why this ship didnt!

I agree with the smoking and sound system but this ship deserves better than a one star. I'm not a smoker and found the smoke overwhelming. More than any other ship I've been on. The sound system could use work as well but there are so many great things to this ship that even with those negative drawbacks, a one star is just unthinkable.

We found the casino on Harmony to be the best of any on a cruise ship. It was large, half smokers, half not, and we thought there was a considerable difference from one side to the other. We are both ex smokers.

I honestly wish they would seal off one section of the casino so no smoke would escape into the nonsmoking zones and put all the smokers where they can not harm others.

I think they should make 1 smoking area at the top aft with seating and a bar. Would be outside and obviously down wind with a great view. ð ð¬

Celebrity does not allow smoking in the casino. It's different to enjoy your casino time if you can smell the smoke even when you are in the non-smoking section. Also I think it is ridiculous because second hand smoke can be harmful to your health.

PapaZee - in theory but in practice we couldn't walk either side and not come out smelling like an ashtray at peak times. I don't know how Vegas pulls it off, maybe ships don't want to lose all that nice cool air by exhausting it outdoors, but on Oasis and Allure (and all other ships I've sailed) the concept of half smoking just doesn't work. Slightly better on Oasis class than some older ships, but not solved.

All the Oasis class ships have a smoking and non-smoking side in the casino. It's unfortunate that the smell creeps over, but it can't be helped. As a former smoker I understand why some people don't like some comments about being a smoke-free environment, but at least you get half of the casino.

Lab341 - you are correct. One day ships will be smoke free. Until we have no resort but to complain and spend zero money in the casino. Actually thanks for that, I just lose money in casinos anyways :)

Allure casino was smoky too. Can't recall a ship yet where casino wasn't smoky. Ships loss 'cause I avoid it, but it's their ship and they will gladly take money from a smoker so... did go long enough to spend my $5 slot credit.

Why can't some non-smokers be happy with 98% of the ship. Even if they said outside only on 3 little spots on deck , I swear to GOD they would still complain.

Sailed her 2 weeks ago. She is a beautiful ship and has state of the art amenities. The shows are wonderful and a must see!! The only thing I was not wowed by was the food in the main dining room and Windjammer, however food in the specialty restaurants was amazing. Casino is extremely smoky and smelly not any different than any other casino! I am a non smoker and spent time in the casino almost every night. Just make sure you are not going to wear the same clothes again cause it will stink like cigarettes. ððAll and all an amazing ship! Have an wonderful time. We sure did!!!
