Review summary
This ship was AMAZING. Very beautifully designed, and has many activities to keep all age groups busy. The music was a bit too laid back for me. May be due to my age (47), I would prefer 80's, 90's and some country as well. The size of this ship is not believable unless you experience it for yourself. With that in mind, so are the lines to eat during breakfast and lunch. We tried eating at different times and still experienced a lot of congested areas. The hand washing stations are an excellent reminder for people about to use the buffet style eating.
The only port of call I would never want to go back to was Falmouth, Jamaica. Unless you want to sit in an un-airconditioned vehicle and ride for a minimum of 30 minutes to get to a beach, there is only shopping at the port. DO NOT go out of the designated area for cruisers to shop. If you do, you will be hounded to death by the locals to purchase something.
Another place I will NEVER return to is the Playa Mia that is sold as an excursion while in Cozumel. I am shocked that RCCL is associated with this place. It's not nice at all. The pool area is not as clean as it should be, the food at buffet was mediocre, and the chairs are hard as a rock, and very uncomfortable. The Paradise Beach area is so much nicer. You'll have to rent a taxi and go there on your own. That facility is so much better. My family and I left the Playa Mia and rented scooters and drove around the entire island. This can be done in 2-3 hours depending on how much stopping you do. You'll want to stop! The opposite side of the island is the most beautiful place ever. You have to experience it to believe it. There are plenty of places to stop and enjoy the beach on nice sand. There are a few places to also stop and eat or have a beverage of choice. The cost of the scooters are $40 for 8 hours. Two can fit on one scooter if you're trying to save some money. Overall, I will more than likely return to this ship.
