Food, shows, pools, staff and room were excellent.  Would have enjoyed one more day in Bermuda to see more of the island.  We received first class cabin service from our steward, Lenette, as well as Simona in Windjammer and Cyrus and Monoj in the Great Gatsby dining room.

Major Relaxation by Cruiser93561708

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My favorite part was CoCoCay and the on beach grilling. There was an abundance of foods to select from and the wildlife that came to visit was great. I think it would be better for them to visit Kennedy Space Center rather than Port Canaveral. It's a nice place, but there isn't much to do.

Ship was great! Perfect size, very clean, service was excellent and food was outstanding. Adventure ocean was very organized. Our kids loved going and participate in the different activities that they offered everyday.

Great for a quick cruise from my local area! by raeh1060

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

My favorite part of the trip was not having to fly to start my vacation (i.e., low stress).  Embarking and disembarking was quick and easy.  Although the cruise ship was small and old, we had a nice time.

Grandeur not so Grand.... by LISAV7878

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Don't get me wrong we had a great time but, there are many areas that need fixing....The boat is definitely older...the rooms need to be updated.  The beds are old and springs pop out.  The carpets not only in the rooms but on the boat itself are stained and old.

Over 18 turned out to be a free for all for some of the adult entertainment which I thought was ridiculous. There wasn't enough entertainment at all....the pool area should have been playing music all day.  They only played here and there.  There were not enough activities over all.

That being said the staff went above and beyond

Kinda Boring by amylou1978

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: North America

Not much was going on this trip.  The singing and dancing shows need to go and the ship definitely needs to be renovated.  In our stateroom we had a total of 2 plug-ins to use.  I think we'll go back to Carnival for our next cruise.

The Best Crew Ever by philmatilsky

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

While this is an older ship, it was immaculate and had enough amenities to make for an extremely pleasant cruise. The highlight, however, was the crew. For my wife and myself, this was our 15th cruise, and the crew and staff were the best we ever had on any ship on any cruise line. It certainly made up for any minor imperfections of the cruise.

As with most ships, the cabins were small but well appointed. There was more storage space than we expected. About 30 square feet more in cabin space would be ideal.

Meals were excellent. The chef on the ship had a wonderful way with his appetizers and meats.

Entertainment was mixed. The best entertainment was the Headliner Showcase shows, which were consistently excellent. The ship's production cast was capable, but not outstanding.

Ports of call were nice and land excursions were excellent.

Boarding and Debarking were the easiest ever on a cruise.

Overall.....a wonderful cruise experience. I already booked my next one.

The service is incredible....from our cabin Stewart to our waiters! If we asked for something, it appeared.

Great dining experiences! Great entertainment! Orderly transport on and off the ship! Loved all the islands and excursions!

Very Enjoyable by colorpathllc

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We recommend this cruise. We enjoy the smaller ship due to our interest in relaxation. No rock climbing or flo-riding needed. The food is also better on the Grandeur than other Royal Caribbean ships. The itinerary was perfect. A perfect get-away vacation.

Anniversary cruise by klaat0

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

It was a nice cruise, not wonderful, nice. Royal Caribbean is going down hill. We have been on several Royal Caribbean cruises. The food was a disappointment. The entertainment was so so. The staff was wonderful. Although, I did get hurt during the cruise from carelessness of a crew member. No one bothered to check on me even though they took my cabin #. Our favorite cruise line is slipping.

Grandeur of the Seas Cruise by sandrareavis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: North America

We enjoyed our cruise.  The ship needs refurbishing.  We like the size of the ship - under 2,000 passengers.  Met many friendly people. The food was great!  Disappointed that we didn't get to Cococay.  It was too windy to tender.

The staff on this cruise were exceptional. Very friendly and helpful!  The food/restaurants were outstanding. While we didn't get to go to Coco Cay due to bad weather, the cruise was a great time.

Good food, great staff and very accommodating to ballroom dancers.  So much enjoyed we booked in Aug 2017 and Mar 2018. Wahoo! Dining room staff Peter Dias, Toni and Airy were great. We had my time dining and loved it.

Great value; great vacation! by bethnakanishi19

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Everything. The boat is very clean and has many amenities for guests to enjoy.  The solarium was my personal favorite; it was warm, sunny, without all the wind of being outside.  Our table staff, Randolph and Ikedek were outstanding and perfectly and gracefully met and exceeded our every need. Our room attendant Mr Daves was very pleasant and hardworking.

Smaller, more intimate ship BUT with same amazing Royal Caribbean service! by First13Barbell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Grandeur of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

We booked this ship because we wanted to surprise our parents (who had also booked but didn't know that we had). This is a very small ship!  Yes, it is beautiful, clean, and has a great staff.  BUT, if you are an active person, you will get bored!  There is no sport court.  The activities are mostly trivia games and dance lessons. The small bands playing in the Centrum were amazing, and the venue has great acoustics.  The theatre productions were basic, and not so great. You won't get the "glam" that other ships offer.  However, the food was amazing and the staff was attentive, friendly, and engaging.  If you enjoy reading, knitting, playing cards, and low key activities, book this ship.  If you need more action, avoid it. Also, you will feel movement much more on this ship than the other.
