Review summary

Overall it was a fun weekend trip as one last hurrah before school started. Had a great time and thankfully the Tropical weather cooperated.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Fast as always with Tampa. On the ship in less than 10 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We've been on other vision class ships and felt there were fewer activities combined with poor scheduling. The quality of the activities were fine, just lacking in quantity.

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Both our waiter and Jr waiter in the MDR at dinner were excellent. We ended up having the same waiter and Jr waiter in the MDR for breakfast and lunch both Sea days and they were excellent as well.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Ship was clean but showing her age in places. Looks like she just recently got a fresh coat of paint on the hull so looks good with minimal rust stains.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We've sailed in this cabin category on Sister ships so we knew what to expect. The bulkhead with the room to the one side of us seemed really really thinner than usual and we had a lot of noise from them.

Ship tip

It's a smaller and older ship so do your research ahead of time and keep your expectations in line. She has a lot of charm but don't expect an emusement park of the Seas experience. Do that, and you'll have a great time.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Did an excursion to Rio Secreto underground river/cave which was pretty neat and lots of fun.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy, facial recognition so there was no wait.

We love the smaller ships.

We have a cruise coming up in February. This will be the first time with RC. My wife and I like the smaller ships without all the special activities for kids.

Thank you for sharing!! I have not sailed from Tampa. Sounds like you are close to Tampa and enjoyed that port before! There is something calming about the familiar when vacationing. !
