Review summary

It was a nice break from the work life. Very humid in the summer-lots of sweating. The air conditioning was nice on the ship. Our room was on the back of ship so we slept nicely with the sound all night!

Embarkation

Very fast! We had a junior suite so never stood in line.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5

Windjammer Marketplace

4 out of 5

Buffet style busy place. Needed to get there early to beat the huge crowds! Many food selections unless you have food sensitivities.

Great Gatsby Dining Room

4 out of 5

Nice 3 course meal with several options!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The only true great activity was the rock climbing wall. Other activities were shuffle board, ping pong, pools, miniature arcade and crew led activities or games. Small ship but that is why we went on it-to avoid crowds

Is mostly in the hot sun all day. But had 4-5 challenging routes.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Overall the entertainment shows were good. The stage show musicians however were excellent.

Palladium Theater

5 out of 5

Great musicians! Pretty good comedian. Tango show not my thing!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were excellent! ALWAYS HELPFUL! Always smiling and greeting us! Stateroom attendant Clinton was the best and friendliest. Sometimes it was hard to understand staff since for most English is their second language.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Enjoyed the small size of the ship and overall it was clean.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

4 out of 5
We were supposed to go to Tulum while at this port but it was cancelled. We the booked the local Mayan ruins excursions San Gervasio. It was not good. Short time at ruins quickly through it with no time to look around, take pictures or read anything. We were given 5 minutes to shop and use restrooms. Then we stopped at the Mayan Bee Sanctuary. Did not get to enter because of a cleansing ritual that would need to be performed. We were given 15 minutes to shop. Then we went to a beach along the east coast. It was nice but couldn’t really get to the water because of the huge amounts of seaweed. We did have our best meal of the whole cruise. Authentic tacos at the restaurant!!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

Loved it here. Did dolphins swim and these people care about their dolphins! We also went in the aviary and loved it.

Galveston, Texas

Nice city. Might come back just to explore more. Lacked sidewalks in many residential areas.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
This could have been better with announcements in our stateroom since we had to stay until we were called to leave. We had to watch a channel on tv to know when, we missed our call and went late!
