Grandeur of the Seas

5 Night Western Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)

Sail date: June 29, 2022

Ship: Grandeur of the Seas

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Review summary

Definitely give this ship a chance, if its your first cruise you will love it, not amazing for children as amenities are limited, young or old couples would feel most comfortable, solo travelers as well, the amount of friends you make on the smaller ships is something that does make them stand apart from the bigger ones. We saw our cruise friends everywhere!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We got onto this ship very quickly, I was amazed, we practically just walked on out of the gate!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dinning room was AMAZING, you could pick something with your eyes closed and it would stuff be a home run, but I will say the pizza on the 9th floor was our go to at night, this ship doesn’t have the full Sorrentos, but the pizza is the same!

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Since this is an older and smaller ship there was not many amenities, there was a rock wall and 3 pools, it could use some of the bells and whistles for sure

Entertainment

5 out of 5
our favorite part was the game shows and crew entertainment, we loved the centrum parties! They were so much fun, its very hard to miss activities on this ship because you usually walk by them in the centrum. Vs the bigger ships where the activities are hidden away in multiple lounges or venues.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
ALL of the staff on this ship are amazing! They really go out of their way to make the experience memorable for the passengers

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It is a smaller ship according to passenger capacity, but still very big to navigate and is cared for and kept beautiful

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My husband and I love interior rooms, we sleep so well in them, I will say our room was in the VERY front of the ship, when we would get into port the sound of the anchor would wake us up, our room would literally shake on and off for about 10 minutes while the ship was being docked, this was the only issue with our room, we just decided to take it as a wake up call lol.

Love, Love, Love the Lady G! We sailed on the Enchantment after they moved to Baltimore. It was nice, but we miss all the amazing people, both crew and guests of the Grandeur.
