Review summary

It was a crazy cruise due to COVID-19. The crew and Captain did an excellent job. After we finally got out of Baltimore and the Bay and away from storms, the weather was beautiful for most of the cruise. Good food, drinks and other passengers made this cruise well worth it despite not being able to visit ports.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
We couldn't board until after 12 noon due to sanitization of the terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was good. We only ate in the buffet once. The specialty restaurants were excellent, especially Chops. The spaghetti and meatballs in Giovanni's for lunch was excellent too!

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Only used the pool

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was good especially since the ship could only stop at 2 of the planned 5 islands due to COVID-19.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff, waiters, room stewards and crew were excellent. They did their best to ensure all guests were happy and kept safe in spite of the disappointment of not being able to stop at 3 islands and two health emergencies that needed to be dropped off at St. Thomas on two separate occasions. Captain Patrick did an excellent job of making critical decisions and keeping everyone informed.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The Grandeur is a older ship so there are several areas that need to be updated. However, the staff and crew did an excellent job of keeping everything clean and sanitized.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Our cabin was clean and roomy.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

You have a great attitude. Many people would complain about missing some of the islands. With cruising, some things do not always happen as planned. I was supposed to be on Grandeur May 28 for the New England and Canada cruise but that will not happen due to the Virus. Will try again Aug. 20. Love the Grandeur.
