Review summary

Pleasant cruise experience and really can't say enough about Perfect Day at CocoCay! Worth sailing with RCI for that alone!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Port of Baltimore couldn't be any easier. From the parking lot on to the ship in a half hour!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dinner in the MDR three out of eight nights. We preferred the flexibility and variety of the Windjammer. The themed buffet dining was fun and the staff were awesome. Look for Alfonso , aka "French Fry", during breakfast hours - a great guy!!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The main pool could be a bit crowded at times so we used the pool in the Solarium most often. There were plenty of chairs by the main pool but sometimes had to wait for a poolside lounger in the Solarium.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was much better than we expected! John and Katrina do a wonderful job with activities and entertainment.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
For the most part the service was what you'd expect. Very few went over-and-above and our room steward did the bare minimum.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Overall we were pleasantly surprised. Very easy to navigate and considering her age there were just a few areas that needed some sprucing up.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Nice accommodations! A little small and the bathroom was pretty tight quarters. It was a challenge to turn around in the shower and you couldn't fit both hands under the sink faucet to wash up. We had a good bit of frustration with early morning noise from the deck above and from the thrusters on port days.

Ship tip

She's a lovely ship with lots of charm. Due to her smaller size she's a bit wobbly on the waters.

We planned to take advantage of an empty ship and head in to town in late afternoon. Ended up taking a nap and missed the port all together : ( 5-stars because everyone was raving about what a wonderful day they had!
