Review summary

Because of Florence our trip was shortened. Only one port Halifax. Arrived on Wednesday afternoon. Took a van tour around town and out to Peggy's Cove. Had a nice time there. Went to the cementary where victims of the titanic were buried. Found this to be interesting and it was my pleasure to pay my respect. Grandeur was only half full lots of cancellations. No long lines anywhere. Getting on and off was very quick. Quest game was fun. Chops was delicious, wife got hot coffee spilled on her, but all was good. Not a fan of my time dining, waiter Perry and assistant were nice. Only ate there twice out of five nights. Windjammer was really good. Room 4012 was nice, quiet part of the ship. Shows as usual was good, both comedians were funny and it was nice they had them in the theatre. Staff were friendly and customer service people were wonderful. RCCL was very generous in compensation to those who decided to cruise. As usual there are a few people who are rude and believe it's all about them, alcohol plays a big part in that, and staff doesn't or maybe can't enforce policy. It could ruin some peoples cruise but, you got to expect it and hope it doesn't happen. Don't forget to go up to the Viking lounge, nice and quite during the daytime. Check out the Park cafe excellent breakfast sandwiches. Liked the information update from the Captain every day at noon. Overall our group of six had a wonderful time and I would give the ship and staff 5 stars. Probably will book the New England/Canada cruise in the future to go to the four ports we missed. I would recommend this ship and staff members for anyone considering a cruise, job well done. Sailed 9/17-22/2018.

We were on this same cruise and probably saw you sometime. Lol. It was our first cruise and we had a great time. We have booked another cruise for March 28 through April 6. Would like to do New England cruise again but don’t want to go during hurricane season. We loved everything about this ship!

Great review and a great attitude for cruising. We can't control mother nature and safety always comes first. I'll be cruising on the Grandeur in December. Love the Grandeur.

We were on the Anthem a few weeks ago, starting the 6th and had the same itinerary as you. Fortunately, we had beautiful sunny days as Florence was about to hit. I am so sorry your vacation was cut so short; the other ports were wonderful. People with a great attitude like you make it a pleasure to cruise. Have a cruise on Lady G scheduled in 2020.
