Royal Carribean The Only Way to Cruise

Sail Date: October 09, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

To date this was our third cruise and second aboard Royal Caribbeans Grandeur of the Seas. We do prefer the smaller cruise ships but one day want to try the big RC cruise line.

We cannot say enough good about the staff, crew, and total ship. Everyone is dedicated to making you feel welcome and appreciated. They go above and beyond to keep you comfortable and happy. Cleanliness can't say enough there either. The entertainment while underway was great. Auctions, comedy, muscial, it's all here. Because of the small size cruise ship it seems you become "family" with other vacationers on board as well.

The captain kept us abreast of weather conditions, times embarking and debarking and how long the estimated time would be to go from port to port. We never felt unsure of any of the staff and crew from the Captain on down.

My cruise line will always be Royal Caribbean until proven otherwise.

Cabin / Stateroom
It was absolutely great. Frederick kept on top of cleanliness and housekeeping.
The size was just right for us to feel we had our own space and not falling over one another.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Sooooo easy and smooth. Thank you

Destinations and Excursions
We had one bad experience and that was with the excursion to Oktoberfest at Kings Wharf. It definitely is a rip off. 49.00 a person just to enter the tent and 2 free beers. It is clearly seen that the area does not know how to celebrate the occasion and needs to research it a bit more. Once entering the tent you had to purchase your food at an astronomical price (25.00 for dinner) (14.00 for a basket of pretzels). I believe Royal Caribbean Excursion center needs to let anyone looking at attending this function to know would the total cost is. Or they need to come up with the help of the administrators for Ocktoberfest to possibly including some kind of food for the 49.00 fee.

Service and Staff
Although hard to do as everyone was great.
Frederick our stateroom attendant was grand.
Eliano Costa, Focus, and Kevin I believe was his name the Dining supervisor for our section. These individuals were absolutely outstanding in service, friendliness, making sure we were satisfied and fulfilled with our time and meals on the Grandeur of the Seas. Our hats off to these wonderful hardworking gentlemen.
Food and Dining
Our service was excellent. The staff in the Great Gatsby for our 530pm dining was outstanding. They gave 110% of themselves to making sure we were satisfied with our dinner.

Tip

What's to say but she is a grand old ship.
