Review summary

My husband and I  took this cruise out of Baltimore. Getting on ship went quickly. Upon entering everyone went to the buffet for lunch, a bit crowded and had to search for a table, people going and coming in all directions. Breakfast in the main dining room had a nice selection, egg omlets, eggs benedict, fried eggs, french toast, waffles, salmon, and buffet with cold cereals, granola, assorted fruit, and yogurts. Staff was very friendly. We usually asked for a table for two but if they didn't have one available they sat you with other people but on the good side you had the chance to get acquainted with other cruisers. Lunch buffet in Windjammer was good, but very crowded and hard to find a table so you have to be a little patient. Lunch in main dining room you could order off of menu, assorted sandwiches, soups and deserts, plus a great salad bar where you pick your own choices of lettuce, veggies, and meats, then they chopped it up right in front of you. Hugh salads!   Dinner in main dining room was excellent, only coffee could be hotter. Told waiter about it and the next day it was corrected. The host and waiters were so friendly and knew us by name, and couldn't do enough for you, always asking if everything is okay. They switched menu around from night to night, good choices were leg of lamb, Italian dishes, chicken, steak, salmon, fish, shrimp, and the last day lobster tail was on the menu. Variety of sweets, baked Alaska, cakes, coffee ice cream, peach soup, pineapple soup, which were also very tasty.  Beverage packages were a little expensive, if you are not a big drinker, you would be better off paying by the drink. Portrait packages were also expensive. Casino was nice, movies in theater and also outside on pool deck, bingo every day, trivia, and a lady singer named Maria sang so beautiful in the evening hours. Very good shows and comedians. We had a ocean view cabin which had a big window above the bed but we really weren't in the room until late at night so don't know if the window really mattered or not, the room was big enough for 2 people wi a small sofa, good enough storage in room. This was a 7 day cruise and not enough time in Bermuda but the ship was great. We took the trolley train tour which was okay. Also booked the Hamilton shopping cruise which took you there and pointed out a few sights from the ferry but no real close ups. Then you got dropped off in Hamilton for 2 hrs. On your own or you could go with tour guide. Better way to do it is to take the big ferry to Hamilton for 18.00 round trip and you would see the same thing for a lot less. We took the ferry to St. George for 18.00 round trip. Nice ride. Beautiful churches. Expensive shopping. Sorry we didn't go to horseshoe bay. Getting off the ship was organized but a lengthy wait, they assigned you a deck number and that's where you wait until you got called, or you had the choice to get off ship first but you had to carry your own luggage. All in all it was a great cruise experience and very friendly staff who make a big difference in your cruise.
