Review summary

Grandeur of the Seas is even grander now.  Many new features, such as updated upholstery in the common rooms and rehabilitated stateroom lavatories make a trip on GotS more pleasant than ever.   In our cabin we are never disturbed by outside noise.   Didn't care for, or use, expanded specialty restaurants, but then, we didn't have to.  Staff members higher on the chain of command seemed a bit distant, perhaps because the company will be abandoning the port we used (Baltimore.)   The frontline workers were unfailingly cheerful and without exception went out of their way to help and serve.  We are not demanding travelers, but we did have "issues" (like a scooter breakdown), and GotS folk went above and beyond over and over to make things easier for us.  Immigration at Key West really did not, as promised, save time in Baltimore, as lines were necessary for Customs.  The new entertainment "venue," the Centrum aerodome, was breathtaking and a brilliant idea for giving a special boost to a grand old lady.  That makes her something different.  We'd sail her again tomorrow.

Breakfast in the dining room on the last day. They have this service down to a science and make this sad meal serene.
