Review summary

Since this was our first cruise we didn't know exactly what to expect, but overall the family had a really wonderful experience. The food on board was so plentiful, tasty and diverse that we never had a desire to try any of the specialty restaurants. There were plenty of activities to keep all of us busy, and we would highly recommend the live evening shows in the Palladium (Ivan Pecel the comedian juggler was one of our favorites!). The only small complaint we have is that the room (especially the bathroom) was too small which made us want to leave the room as soon as possible every day; but our porter made up for the tiny accommodations by being so kind and diligent with his duties. We would definitely cruise with Royal again in the future and have already recommended it to our friends and family. Thank you for a very memorable experience; one that we hope to repeat again very soon!

Ship tip

Make sure that you bring along some dress clothes for the kids if you're scheduled for My Time Dining, because they don't allow shorts. Unfortunately none of the shops on board carry long pants for boys. Thankfully, my size 6 pants fit my 10 year old son with the help of his father's belt

Horseshoe Bay IS gorgeous. I've never done the dolphins excursion...sounds awesome. Thanks for the tips @NaiomiandSteve!

Must go to the Dolphin Quest which is so close to where we docked (just a few minute walk). A bit pricey ($225 per person), but VERY worthwhile. Also we enjoyed Horseshoe Bay much more than Church Bay b/w the 2 beaches that we visited. The shopping was so so except for the Glassworks where you can pick up an original glass art work for a very reasonable price. With only a couple of days to explore the Island it's rather limiting, so choose wisely.
