Review summary

I enjoyed this cruise mostly for the relaxing days at sea. My cabin mate and I had both been to the islands before so we didn’t take excursions as we would have if it had been our first visit to Hawaii.

The balcony was really nice, but the room only had one chair and no love seat or sofa. We had been upgraded to this room, so I thought it was a deluxe balcony with a loveseat.

Had a great excursion here. Akaka Falls and Panaewa Rainforest Zoo, which has plants in their natural habitat and exotic birds and animals. I’m always fascinated that many of our houseplants grow in the wild on the Hawaiian Islands.

Didn’t book an excursion here, but walked to a beach. I walked through a public park to get there and there were wild chickens in a variety of colors. Very peaceful and pretty park.

We had the worst shore excursion ever! Germaine’s Luau was very mediocre and certainly not worth $130/person.
