Review summary
The cruise was uneventful, but relaxxing . The Grand Princess is 20 years old and lacks some of the amenities of newer ship. Cabins are on the smaller side with the bathrooms being cramped.
We've been on many Princess cruises and the food on this ship was particularly good with excellent fish preparation.
There were two lecturers on board. The gentleman who organized film clips into various categories was excellent. The other lecturer/naturalist was somewhat obtuse at times. The other presentations were all sales pitches for art, the spa and jewelry. We didn't go to any of these presentations as they are usually extremely boring after having been on 15 cruises with Princess.

We rarely sail from the west coast since we live on the east coast.

I look forward to my Hawaii cruise. Just have to book it first.

I just did the 15 day Star Princess Cruise to Hawaii from LA and while it was great, the sea days were long ... We had some pretty bad weather (cold/rainy) so it would have been entirely different if we could have spent more time on deck in the sun ...
I love the Princess line and have been on the Grand before and having nothing but good things to say about that ...

My mother and I are thinking of taking this cruise maybe next year. I only have cruise with NCL. I found this cruise when I was looking for Hawaii cruises. Just not sure about all those sea days.
