Review summary

water buckets everywhere.  In the dining rooms, hallways, elevator areas.  Smells of sewer occasionally .  Not too clean.  Holes in sheets!.  Not much activity.  Excursion selections  were just ok. Crews looked as though they were wearing hand me down clothes from the nineties.  The food was good, the crew was good too.  Put the ship to rest.  My last princess cruise.  I will stay with celebrity or better.

I was on both the Oct 10th and Oct 17th Coastal cruises. The Oct 10th cruise was pretty disappointing. It was quite obvious during the second cruise that the first one was noticeably poorer in many respects. Oct 10th had more mix ups, more errors by staff, more billing problems and misplaced credits, poorer entertainment and lackluster service providers. What a change on the Oct 17th cruise. Why? Who knows? Maybe there was some sort of new policy or a rules change on the Oct 10th cruise that caused morale to drop. I would classify the Oct 10th cruise as inferior and disappointing and rate it a 5. The Oct 17 cruise was an 8. The highlight of the cruises was A Girl Named Jake in the Crooners Lounge. She was amazing. They need to make her a headliner.

I too am on the Grand right now and have seen none of the negatives mentioned. It is true the Grand is one of the older Princess ships, but it appears to be in great overall condition. Our mini suite is in top shape and the bed linens and towels are quite nice. All the crew has also been wonderful!!

When were you on the Grand? We are on her right now and have seen none of the negative things you mentioned. Sure, the ship is old, but it appears Princess is taking steps to keep her in good working order. In fact, that are performing some routine maintenance on our balcony today. Since you think Celebrity is better, then you should stick with it. Good luck.
