Both good and not so good

Sail Date: February 17, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

Dining room service was slow and our waiter was not very friendly. The atrium always smelled of cigarette smoke from the casino. There was water leaking from the ceilings and the lights kept dimming in the dining room.  Floor tiles were loose in the food court. Our mattress needed to be replaced.

On the positive side, the music and entertainment was the best I have seen on any cruise. The food in the food court was as good as any other cruise ship we have taken. The ship was on time at every port. The passengers were very elderly and so I don't recommend this cruise for younger couples.

Ship Quality
This ship is overdue for maintenance. The problems will probably be fixed.
Food and Dining
Dining room was dissapointing. Food court was great.
Service and Staff
Mostly great but our waiter was cold.
Entertainment
The best we have seen.
Children's Programs
Can't comment, did not use.
Onboard Activities
Great variety.
Destinations and Excursions
Hawaii is a great location but the excursions were overpriced and crowded.
San Pedro (Los Angeles), California
did not explore
Hilo, Hawaii
We took a private van and enjoyed it.
Honolulu, Oahu
The free shuttle from Maui Divers was a waste of time, Burger King has free Wi-Fi.
Nawiliwili, Kauai
We took the free streetcar to shopping, and then took their tour and it was good.
Lahaina, Maui
This was our favorite island. I took the city bus for $2.00 to a nice beach.
Ensenada, Mexico
Stay in the tourist area. Free Wi-Fi at Starbucks.

Tip

Passengers were elderly so if you want excitement or partying, this is not for you.
