Review summary

The Golden Princess is a lovely ship. However, it takes quite awhile to understand how to get from place to place. The crew was friendly and helpful.

The cruise director was always a pleasure to see on stage. He was fun and welcoming. The naturalist was wonderful as was Libby Riddle. The dancers and singers were good.

The disembarkation was so dreadful, we chose to stay onboard. If the arrival was earlier in the day, we probably would have gone into town.

Ketchikan, Alaska

A charming city.
Don't Miss: Creek Street

Juneau, Alaska

We took the $16 round trip bus ride to Mendenhall Glacier. The town was interesting once you by-passed the jewelry stores. Red Dog Saloon was fun.
Don't Miss: Mendenhall Glacier.

Skagway, Alaska

We traveled with Discover Skagway which was reasonably priced and done well.

Pros: The scenery

Cons: Embarkation and disembarkation in ports
