Review summary

Unfortunately, I don’t think this two night cruise was up to RCCL’s normal, high quality standards. It felt more like a cheap, Carnival cruise. We choose to cruise RCCL because it has always felt like a slightly elevated cruise experience. While I enjoyed some aspects, I was left a little disappointed.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The main dining room service was GREAT, but the food was low quality. We have been on several Royal Caribbean cruises, and always enjoyed the food. But this time it seemed like the food was cheap and unimaginative. For example, the crab cakes didn’t seem to have any crab in them. Instead it was like a crab-flavored pasta filler. Really bad.

Great shows in the Royal Theater.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The Main Dining Room service was the usual exceptional service we are used to from RCCL. Our cabin steward did a great job of keeping our stateroom clean. Only one complaint. We only actually saw our cabin steward one time, and that was when we made a request. We are used to personal introductions and a little more interaction.

This cabin was outstanding! Very spacious and well appointed.

Perfect Day At Coco Cay, Bahamas

4 out of 5
I enjoyed Coco Cay, but we shared our day with passengers from the Wonder of the Seas mega ship. That made it way too crowded. We could not enjoy the pool. There were no seats, and the pool bar was extremely crowded - 3 people or more deep. I would prefer one ship in dock at a time. I think it would have made for a more enjoyable experience.

Easy. No challenges.

When you book a 2 night cruise, regardless of the line, it’s a “booze cruise” and attracts an undesirable element

A 2 night is a cheap cruise. No surprise there. Anything less than a 6-7 night tend to lean in that direction.

Sorry for the not so good time. I’ve heard many people say the 2, 3 and 4 day cruises are not that good. We’ve never been on less than 5 and have always had a fantastic time. However, that was also before Covid.

Well, the food services director on AOTS told us just a few weeks ago that it's still a struggle dealing with supply chain issues. He said many things are just still not available.
