Review summary

Guess it's better late than never to review? This was a family cruise, 10 people from ages 7-56. We decided to cruise in celebration of my mom and aunt's 50th birthdays, my cousin and her husband's honeymoon, and family vacation! Half of the group including myself were first time cruisers and I think this ship and Royal set the bar high. There were a couple of 'hick ups' on embarkation but overall it was fantastic from that point on. The ship is huge and stunning from forward to aft. I enjoyed the entertainment options, shopping, and most importantly the crew. Everything was so clean and enjoyable and I attribute that to the amazing crew. We did the murder mystery dinner and I can't recommend it enough! The food, oh the food.... other than the murder mystery dinner in Giovanni's, we didn't dine in any specialty dining. We had dinner in the MDR every night because of the food but more importantly because of the service Ajit and Nikolai provided. They went above and beyond to make every evening special and memorable for our family and I will never forget that. Did I mention the service was amazing? Another example, on our final sea day my mom and I were relaxing in the Solarium when a sudden gust of wind and hard rain hit. We all scattered to shelter and in the process my souvenir/soda package cup was whisked into the wind and shattered everywhere! I was so sad because it was a souvenir and we were disembarking the next day. Once things calmed down I went up to the solarium bar and showed what was left of my cup and asked if it was possible to get a replacement? The bar tender without question asked what color I wanted (blue) and went to the back for a good 15 minutes. He returns and states they didn't have any in the back in blue but he went to a different part of the ship and retrieved the blue cup! He asked if I wanted to keep the shattered one (no) and happily discarded it while asking what drink I would like in my new one. This small act meant so much to me and I still have this cup and converted it into a souvenir memento that sits in my collection of travels 😊. She is a fantastic ship and the memories made were absolutely priceless, we look forward to sailing on here again!
