Disappointed!

We were on FOS a few years ago & it was really nice. None of the above stated issues. I hope they’re resolved by our 2/17 cruise.

I don't know, I just got off the JotS Saturday and sailed AotS 2yrs ago and there was a WIDE difference between the two and Jewel was definitely lacking. We did MDR for dinner and the menu said $30 up charge for lobster and other passengers said it was free. Also, one night, an hour had passed and we ONLY had our salad. The food finally came and we had to chug it down because the show across the ship was starting. 75 minutes to go between salad and dinner?! I wouldn't wait that long on land, why wait that long at sea? They do this WEEKLY, they knew what to expect. ⠀ **************** And there WERE people dressed super casual in the MDR. That's what the Windjammer is for. We expected better in Tides. First time I've seen people not abide by it. Holland America and MSC would have turned them away at the door, as they should. I wear the same floorlength CK dress from Texas on EVERY cruise and I hate formalwear, but I fall in line because thems the rules. ********* ⠀ The Windjammer floor WAS wet and dirty there were screaming kids EVERYWHERE on the ship ALL week. Our bathroom in our balcony was ho hum and the ceiling over my BED looked like it had an arrangement of dry boogers. I was too grossed to check. Our deck had chipped paint galore, unlike when I was on AotS. ******** ⠀ Its not having high standards for being pampered, its expecting a ship that focuses ON luxury and vacationers to do their one job and let us relax. I paid dang near 2k for us to be on JotS last week and did not feel like it was worth it, unlike on AotS, so there is no surprise across the fleet that they are lacking. ************ Different waves for different ships and this one was a bust, so I agree, every Royal ship is NOT made equal.

Mazdamiatalvr....dont worry. Some people do have not so great experiences but it's rare. My family has been on this ship, and many other Royal Caribbean ships and never had a bad experience. You just have to enjoy being pampered and not having to cook or clean for a week. And relax. I am sure you are going to have an amazing time!!!! Some people have really high standards and things just dont meet up to their expectations but it doesn't mean that ship or things on it wont be GREAT for you.

Im so sorry this was your trip! But I have to say please, please, please dont let this be our experience in April 2019! We've saved and saved and waited and waited. Saying some extra prayers!
