Review summary

Overall, we were very happy with this cruise.it is the 1st time I was on this class of ship and liked it a lot. It was a larger ship 3600 passengers but clearly not as big as the newer ships. I liked it as you did not need to make reservations to attend any venue, you just showed up if you wanted. The ship was also easy to navigate and had a lot of activities. We never felt overwhelmed with crowds except poolside on sea days when it was a challenge to get chairs unless went early. I would repeat on this class of ship, the perfect size for me.

Embarkation

Very quick check in and got on ship before the stated boarding time.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate mostly in specialty restaurants for dinner and food and service was top notch. Lunch at the buffet had a lot of choices and they kept it clean.

Chop's Grille

5 out of 5

The food was outstanding with great service. We ate here several nights and each meal was great. Did not feel rushed and had a great view

Schooner Bar

5 out of 5

They often had trivia during the day and a fantastic piano player at night that took requests, she was excellent. The bar staff very friendly and as I came here regularly, they got to know me and had my drink waiting.

Sorrentos Pizza

3 out of 5

Pizza was mediocre but a good place to get a snack. Good people watching as on the promenade.

Johnny Rockets

4 out of 5

Food was good and a fun experience. The location on the ship a bit hard to find. It was very crowded and had a long wait, not sure worth the wait.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
There always was something to do onboard. The poolo was very crowded on sea days making it hard to find seats unless grab them very early

Swimming Pools

3 out of 5

Pool area was clean with 2 bars. They also had an adult only area which was quieter. Not much waiter service on the pool deck and lines tended to be long at the bars on sea days.

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Arcadia Theater

5 out of 5

Theater was large with open seating. IT was not a problem to find seats for any show we attended.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Overall, we found the entire staff very friendly and helpful. Waiters did a great job and the cabin steward was attentive to our needs.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was in good shape, very clean It was easy to get around for the most part. The ice rink on deck three forced you to go up and around if going from bow to stern as blocked the pathway

Cabin / Stateroom

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We had a fun excursion going ATV riding, highly recommend. This port is designed to do excursions as nothing to see if on your own. No real city near the port.
