Embarkation

5 out of 5
We were dropped off by the transport company in the rain, ugg. He pulled up next to the baggage porters and our luggage was place in is the correct bin and covered. Walked in to terminal. There was a line at security, but it moved pretty fast. Short line to check in, right on board Freedom.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room was great. We were at different tables, cause we went to chops on the second night. Chops food is the best. Windjammer is windjammer. Some thing are good ,some are not. Everyone’s taste is different. We ate at windjammers for all meals depending on the day.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We actually walked around the upper pool area getting in my daily steps deck 12. Great view breezy. We sat a few times getting some sun. We wondered into the gym...very nice. Lots of machines, treadmills, pull up, pull down , deadlift, butterflies, plenty of towels placed around the gym. We used a treadmill to get most of my daily steps. We went and watched people on the rock wall, FlowRider, basketball, putt putt golf. Many users interesting to see so many using these different activities. Shows were good, ice rink show is always a good bet. We went to the on shore shopping program, Matt is a gemologist and knows his stuff. Lucky enough to win a necklace for my sweetie. Picked up many free things at venders at the ports cause of Matt. Spa, enjoyed a massage with stones, great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to most of the evening showers, saw a movie in theater, ice show, people watching.

Children's Programs

We are older ,retired.lol

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Main dining, waiters are attentive. Room steward, she was good, more interactive with another steward up the hall. Windjammer, attentive waiters, lots running around.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
First time on this ship. Easy to get around. Things are pretty much the same on most Royal ships. Theaters in the front, dining in the back, deck 5 promenade deck full of shopping. Casino deck 4. Very pretty ship, decor wise. There were people running around wiping down handrails, keeping things sanitized.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Junior suite, ocean view balcony....this is the best room we have been in. Aft port side Left... deck 10. We walked into our room and it was a jaw dropping experience. Plenty of room.....walk-in closet..tub yeah.. deck had two lounge chairs, a table with two chairs. Lots of room to spread out, placed to store luggage everything out of site.

Ship tip

Book early .... *****use a plastic luggage tag holder, attached with a small steel cable.... do not staple around luggage handle, if your tag comes off your luggage, your luggage is held below. Not brought to your room. You will have to go look for it.****

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy, we kept our luggage in our room over night and walked out about 7 am. No big lines right through customs, no declaration forms...which is new to us. Again very easy this trip.

Thanks for the review! I'm on this exact itinerary in a few months, good to see that you had a great time and good impressions of the ship and staff. We'll be in regular balcony rooms, no "suite life" for us (at least on this trip!), but I'm sure it will be a comparable experience.
