Review summary

Nothing was particularly good or bad. It seemed the staff were mostly going through the motions, and that they really were tired of people and crowds.  The food was the same old mediocrity.  At the sit down dining, the finer items were removed from the menu, and what choices we had in meats seemed like they sat under the warmer too long and dried out.  Also, with the exception of communicating all of the sales and buying options, the normal communication was confusing, and on several occasions written and verbal communications conflicted with other written or verbal instructions.

Then, to add extra pain, Royal Carribean charged the highest tips of any cruise we have ever taken.  This was our first and probably last cruise with Royal Caribbean.

Booked for Freedom of the Seas cruise #5 in 2018. Enjoyed other RCCL cruises and 3 other cruise lines, but FOS is an ideal size with a great crew.  We keep going back because we know the experience on FOS is among the best few ships in the world anywhere near this price range.

i have cruised all the freedom class every time fantastic was on the oasis in feb did not like it all the only thing I liked was the dining staff and the food was truly spectacular perfect in every way the mega ships are soooo crowded and impersonal endless crowds the freedom was the standout ship for my family and we are booked again in nov when she returns to the us perfect family size ship if you are looking for a couples size or singles size cruise try the enchantment much easier to meet other people once tried carnival never again tried it because it was so cheap in the summer months for me a very bad experience I do believe you get what you pay for happy cruising questions on the oasis class feel free to contact me I will give you my honest opinions

Sorry to hear you didn't have a great time. I've been on Freedom 3X and it was fantastic all 3 times. I'm going on Adventure in Sept It will be my 8th Royal Caribbean cruise and they have all been great.

Everyone has different tastes & requirements from a cruise. I think if you just go with it & not expect anything then you tend to have a better time all round. I can't wait to get back on RC in 10 days!!
