This review is for a privately chartered cruise on Explorer of the Seas that left on 12/08/2019. Though we only paid for the upgraded room and taxes, I wouldn't have minded paying full price for this experience. The ship itself, service on board, and a variety of entertainment and activities were all excellent. I am a big fan of this class of ship since the layout allows everyone to do their own thing without having 'too much' to get in with just a couple of sea days.

I had a great time, I just ate too much drank too much and stayed up too late. I need a vacation after my vacation.

Very busy ship with large numbers of children due to “kid go free”. Surprised by this since it was school term time

Overall it was an enjoyable cruise although not up to the standards of my many past RC cruises. This was my second cruise on the Explorer and I will not be repeating again as I do not like the balcony design. I am going to stick with the Indy/Freedom classs as they seem to have the advantages of the larger ships (better entertainment, more activities) without the huge number of people. And as a final thought, parents: PLEASE watch your children, interact with them or put them into the children's program. There were many children on this cruise and most were behaving appropriately (for their ages) and parents were engaged BUT we also saw many that were acting out and being ignored by their parents. The child at the MDR table next to us was off his chair, pulling on things, knocking things down and even running in circles around the table with a fork in his hand - all being ignored by his family despite our comments - until the MDR manager FINALLY said something about the running with the fork as he almost knocked over a waiter. They weren't seen again in the MDR. It wasn't the kid's fault!!!

The cruise compass on board ship was broken into sections. To find an activity or event you had to look at the whole page. Whereas before it was sorted by times so finding an event was quick. As a result we missed some events we would have attended.

The ports were great this was our second cruise to abc islands the ship need to go to dry dock looks rough But as always RCCL is great!!!

The ship need a lot of improvements. The internet was not good on Mac. It only works with mobil devices and PC. They told me that they are not prepared for Apple computers yet. I had to go the RC Online every time I needed to work on my computer. The food is ok but not espectacular as described. The MDR service is great. Bar service is bad and the drinks are not well prepared. We had a good time, we'll wait after the dry dock to cruise the Explorer again.

The cruise was great We will definitely cruise with Royal Caribbean in the future.

Overall cruise was very good . The staff worked with us to rectify dining room problems. The supervisor actually helped waiters.

We loved our cruise .. the Christmas movies on deck were so much fun to watch ..

We enjoy doing cruises around Thanksgiving, and sailing to Labadee to relax for the day prior to visiting friends in Aruba

We love the southern Caribbean!!! We loved the relaxing 9 nights! Cleanest islands, great people. We would take this again and again.

Nice for a small shop. But I prefer a larger ship.

We are doing a b2b in January on Explorer - same ports. No complaints here as we are heading to Southern Caribbean and escaping part of January.

I have been on two cruises so far and enjoyed both of them very much. If I could change anything it would be that the Buffet should always be open from 6:30 A.M. until 11:00 P.M. They have the ability to close parts of it so when switching menu items (breakfast to lunch, lunch to dinner) they do not need to close the entire buffet. Also, coffee should always have cream as an option (half and half is not cream). I don't know why, but nobody on the ship or in Miami could serve a decent coffee and some were outright shocked that I would order it as a beverage.
