The ports on this cruise were great, especially Split and Koper where the old town is right outside the cruise port. Dbrovnik old town is not far, and the city in general was great. Naples was great as getting to Pompeii was very easy. I was disappointed in the activities available on the ship (the trivia games were poorly ran or in venues that couldn't accommodate the people who wanted to participate), and any other programming tended to be far too late in the evening.
Embarkation

The port of Civitavecchia is quite a distance from Rome, but it was very efficient and quick to get on the boat. 10/10
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was overall pretty good in the MDR and Windjammer, but the only thing that really fell flat was the deserts.

Open play for the little ones was terrible. Just a couple age inappropriate toys thrown on the floor.

The room was clean, but the interior and especially bathrooms are showing their age.
We went to Piran which was about 20 minutes from the boat. Adorable little seaside town that was great for a stroll and drink by the beach. It was too cold to get in the water while we visited, but would be great in the warmer months! You could easily see both Koper and Piran in a single day.
awful, terrible, disembarkation experience. You would expect Royal Caribbean to have this figured out by now. Tried to book a port transfer ahead of time, but was told I had to do it on the boat. When I went to book it with Customer Service on the 4th day of the cruise, I was told to come back later. When I came back the next day, I was told there was no more transfers available. People who had booked a train station transfer were told to stand in the rain, with zero organization. People who had not paid for the transfer were getting on the shuttle busses as there was no one monitoring it. ZERO taxis, and whatever the transfer company that had a shack near the taxi queue were awful. There were literally hundreds of people standing in the rain, waiting for a way to get out of the cruise terminal. On the train ride to Bologna, spoke to one could who just walked down the road until they found a cafe and offered cash to someone to drive them to the train station. Just a mess. Awful.
Hi. Would you recommend buying tickets in advance for Ravenna to Bologna? I’m trying to find the fastest easiest way to get to Sorrento from Ravenna and I know we need to go from Bologna to Naples
