Review summary

I was very disappointed in the quality of the entertainment and on board activities. I would have selected different ports. I don't feel a need to go back to any of the ports. The food was tasty and had variety. The ship was very clean.

The only good show was the ice rink. Comedians were not funny. Others were far from the level of shows we experienced on other cruises. The Brazilian troupe was good but they repeated the same act several times.

It was very comfortable and well maintained. Steward was exceptional.

Ship tip

Maybe not share a dinner table. One couple we were assigned to just snapped at each other through dinner. It was unpleasant. Staff was nice to reschedule us to a different table.

Went snorkeling. The reef they took us to on the RC excursion was bland. Hardly any fish or coral.

Enjoyed the RC excursion for ziplining but the island had no interest or charm. Ziplining staff was nice but the island was so impoverished and dilapidated that I didn't enjoy being there.

We had a great time aboard Explorer. Our biggest complaint was how disorganized the My Time dining was. We are Diamond plus and we have never experienced this before. Pack your patience if you make a reservation. You will not be seated quickly.
