Review summary

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves on the Alaskan cruise Exployer Of The Seas ship. It is a very nice ship to stay on. We ate at the Promalade Cafe but weren't too impressed with the Pizza there. It was like eating a piece of cardboard. Little Ceasars is a step up from it and that is saying a lot. Our room was nice but we were disappointed on the virtual scenery because on the website it looked like it was going to be the whole wall but it was actually really small. I wouldn't waste your money on that type of room. We ate at the main dining room restaurant which is called Wind Jammers. It is a buffet and the food was really good and if you were lucky you could sit by the window to look out into the sea (nice view). In fact we booked another cruise on board the ship to a warmer place.

In 2016, on the Explorer of the Seas, my wife saw her first whale through the virtual balcony.

Windjammers is the casual buffet that does breaky, lunch and dinner. Super casual..you can take food from there to other areas. The main dining room is downstairs.. level 5 I think.. three levels tall. Table service . Smart casual. You usually have a permanent time booking.. there are other dining rooms also and PAY to eat dining as well. Hope you managed to eat in other places other than windjammers

I actually like the virtual balcony. It offers a nice view- not as nice as a real balcony, better than a port hole window

First time I have heard the Windjammer called the main dining room! Glad you enjoyed the cruise. Come to Australia it is warmer here.
