Review summary

We booked the cruise as the last minute. The Explorer of the Seas brought back fond memories for us. It was the first cruise ship we went on about 8 years ago out of Miami.The staff was exceptional. So friendly and helpful. The food was absolutely great. The activities were there if you wanted or you could do nothing and read a book,, sleep etc. Would definitely recommend it to anyone. Would love to see more island added to the Ships going out of Bayonne, NJ.

Royal caribbean singers/dancers great Some of other entertainment not as good (Horizons were sounding off key) enjoyed lecture from Dr. Sidney very much on the ports of call. Should have movies ora lectures on all ships about where the ship is going etc.

Nassau, Bahamas

Loved Nassau. Taxi drivers, locals very friendly, helpful. Took a taxi ride around island for $25/person. Took us to rich, average and poor areas. Explained about celebrities who live on island. Told us about real estate opportunities, locals lifestyles etc. Took us to ATANTIS gave us time to look at overall site. Stopped and allowed us to get H2O and then took us to local beach for 1-2 hrs. then picked us up. Told us what to pay for beach chairs at beach and umbrellas. Told us where to get souvenirs. Was worth every penny and had a great time. would have enjoyed more time there.

Don't Miss: Beach time and taxi tour

King's Wharf, Bermuda

when getting off the ship, local representatives were not as friendly or accomodating as some other ports. Visited Hamilton, via ferry. No direction given when arriving there. Even the information center was not that helpful. Waste of time. Returned to the ship had a better time there.

Don't Miss: Beach where locals go

Enjoyed Island very much. Would have like to have had a map the day before of island so we knew what we could do. Overall had a great time. Entertainer/singer was great. Food was great Very relaxing day Beach area has too much coral/rocks in the ocean

Don't Miss: hold experience

Pros: Friendliness of Staff, food, activities captain was accessible

Cons: Some of the entertainers (not royal caribbean staff) were not as entertaining as they could be and Cruises Only agent could have been less hectic
