Review summary

The ship is large but not soo big that you don't have time to see/do everything. It had a complete upgrade done in January and it looks almost new. The cabins are typical for a ship. Many activities for all age groups

The food selections were great and the food was delicious. The Windjammer Cafe (buffet) had a nice variety of food and the hot food was hot

Great selection for every age. However, I did hear from guests who had been on The Explorer before that the activities had not changed and the jokes and scenarios were all the same

Bermuda is nice. We took a bus tour so got a good view of the island. However, we were in Bermuda on Saturday and Sunday and Saturday was when most of the excursions were and when we wanted to go into Hamilton on Sunday to shop we were initially told the shops did not open on Sundays and found out later they open @ 1pm

We did not do any excursions, we just shopped. There were 4 ships in port so it was very crowded

Great upgrade-we haven't been there for about 10 years and it was great. More than enough lounge chairs, the buffet was good (although the hot food wasn't). great time

Pros: The staff were a perfect 10!!!. They could not do enough for us. They were not intrusive with constantly asking us if we want a drink but also were always there when we needed something

Cons: There were no negatives

Recommends Explorer of the Seas? Yes!
