Review summary

We had an an amazing time on the Explorer of the Seas. This was our 5th cruise but 1st on such a big ship so we were a little nervous about it being crowded. We were surprised to find we never felt crowded at all. In fact, we had no wait times to leave the ship in any of the ports of call. We just walked right off the ship each time. What ever they are doing they are doing right considering the stampede we have seen on other ships. The crew was amazing on this ship from servers to cabin stewards.

Excellent shows!!! They really work hard to put on a good show for you.

Service and Staff

Excellent staff. Crew went above and beyond after the tragic death of a crew member. They kept the passengers informed which prevent rumors from spreading. How can you complain about being late returning to NJ after the loss the crew suffered. Our hearts went out to each of them. On another note, Jason, one of the dancers spent some time with us and made our cruise even more memorable.

Very good layout, very clean, though 1st cruise where they don't require hands to be sanitized coming back on to the ship or going into the Windjammer.

Had an interior stateroom deck 8. Perfect size, clean, very comfortable.
