Because we are trying to decide which cruise line will be our choice, we took this cruise for comparison. It was OK, but we didn't experience anything that would make us choose Holland America over our current choice of Celebrity.

Food was adequate, but not terrific. Pinnacle Grill was wonderful, but Canellos was not as good. Big problem with the restaurant basically being just a roped off area of the buffet seating area. It just didn't feel "special".

There was a good band in the late night lounge, but it was so crowded, that it wasn't comfortable to stay. Probably because there was no other option.

The best part of the cruise was the staff. Especially, Denny, our server at Carmello's. He was beyond excellent.

Cabin / Stateroom

Our cabin was smaller than I've had on other lines, but was OK for just a 4 day cruise. I wouldn't want to be in it longer than that. However, the bed was the MOST comfortable bed I've ever had on a cruise ship. Big plus there!
Celebrity is definitely a great cruise line . Top notch all the way. But we’ve been on 10 cruises and I think 6 different cruise lines and loved them all. Cruising is the best vacation ever!!
