Pinnacle was good, Lido buffet was okay, dining room service was very slow, exceeding 2 hours for dinner. A few nights diningroom food was good, but most nights fair to poor.
Onboard Activities

Used pool some, usually busy. Pre canal info was okay, but not much narration when we entered canal.
Entertainment

Main theater lacked variety. Dancers were good, but expected more than screens and recorded music. Only singers were in Billboard and Blues bars. Standing room only and music was similar most nights. Talented performers, but small stage and several sets very similar from what we could tell from hallway. Same issue with comedians. Move some of those acts to main stage. National Geographic and Holland America history were not for main stage.

Dining room wait staff were polite, but very slow. Long wait between courses and would only bring coffee and tea at end of meal. Room stewards were very good. Most of the other staff were very polite and accommodating.
Ship Quality

Ship appeared clean but tired. Several years since refurbished. Some rather nasty smells in a few halls and elevators.

It was kept clean and comfortable. Again, carpet looks tired.
Ship tip
I would not recommend Holland America or the Eurodam. If they were already booked, I would say nothing and hope they had a better experience.
Water was pretty. Rented a clamshall. Nearly an hourto get to the area, then another hour to get set up. Over 2 foot drop off from high tide right in front of clamshell. Older people falling to get up to clamshell or down to beach.
Tour was okay. Steps for the cave tour shown in ads were inside cave and not the steep, high and crumbling steps required to get to cave. Misrepresented! Lady behind me took a fall. Said if she knew steps that steep she would not have taken tour.
We were on the same cruise with you and had a great time- sorry you didn't. Did anything happen to you in Colon to make you think it was dangerous? We did not venture to far out but had a nice time and felt very safe.
