This was our honeymoon cruise. The balcony room was fantastic (we got to see a whale!). Food was great, fresh. Lots of choices. Always able to find a chair at the pool. They have a separate pool for adults, although there were not many children on this cruise. Half Moon Cay would be a reason why I would sail Holland or Carnival in the future. It is fantastic!!

Food and Dining

Food was very good! Lots and lots of choices on lido deck. All was fresh and tasty.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
There are not a lot of onboard activities, but a relaxing, low key cruise is was we wanted. We played bingo every day and actually won $416 the first day! America’s Test Kitchen was informative.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The musical shows were good. Singers and dancers were talented. The BBC one is awesome!
Service and Staff

Our steward at dinner each night was wonderful!! Or room steward was also attentive. Each and every employee always speaks to you when passing by.
Ship Quality

Well maintained boat. Clean. Small enough go get where you are going fast. Our room was on the deck 8 in the middle. We just quickly went up one floor to the lido for food. Very convenient.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our cabin was spacious for a cruise ship room. We were surprised with a king bed which was great! The balcony was fabulous. I will never be able to cruise without one again!
We did the women’s chocolate coop. Honestly, it was not my first choice, but that excursion was one of my favorite parts. It was very rewarding. We learned where chocolate comes from, from start to finish. I will never look at chocolate the same again.
Port was ok. Some shopping within walking distance. We did the Bacardi tour. Good to see parts of the city on the ride there. The tour is only about history and not a tour of the distillery (we were hoping for that). You get a
nice cup and free beverage. Old fort also within walking distance. Very historic.
St Maarten is beautiful, but the damage of the hurricane is still very present. We had booked an excursion prior to getting on the boat and found out that day they had cancelled it. Luckily there is a company at the dock that takes groups out to tour the island. We got a larger group together so it was $25 a person for 3 hours. We toured the
island and had brief stops at Orient
Beach, Marigot, and Maho Beach. We did get to see one plane land, but only got to stay 15 minutes. This same
company offers rides to Maho and
back for the day. It was $11. Not sure if
that was round trip or not. Maho was
very crowded but absolutely beautiful.
The beach space is limited all
throughout the island due to the
hurricane damage. The damage in NO
way affected my trip or influenced my
opinions. I loved the island and the
scenery. I am open minded and just
enjoyed exploring. They need our tourist dollars to help rebuild!
I believe this is the most beautiful place on earth. We rented a clamshell. Shade is needed and it was well worth the money. They have an island BBQ which I was very impressed with. The food was very good. It was a relaxing day on the beach and was fantastic!!
We chose the expedited disembarkation which was 730-745. It was fast. My only negative is we had a credit remaining from our onboard credit. I was going to let them have it. When they scanned my card to disembark, I was flagged that I could not get off until I went to guest services. It would have been nice to have known that prior to me getting all the way there to get off.
