Review summary
The ship is about as perfect as a large cruise ship can get. The stateroom we were assigned was a bit snug, but we really enjoyed the window and glass door to the protected waterfront deck, starboard side. It gave us a private viewing of the passage, the ports and especially, the glaciers in Glacier Bay. What a breathtaking place! There was also a really nice promenade deck, with clean teak floors, for accessing all sides of the boat, and 3 times around is one mile, so it is great for exercise. the Lido Market on deck 9 and all the amenities attached to it made for very easy living, and the staff are more than great. Then the special things: the separate dining rooms and bars and performance areas. All so very accommodating and luxurious. The shops were full of goodies, too. Those who choose Holland America are likely to appreciate these things, and I wish you bon voyage.

Ship tip
I enjoyed the wine tasting and especially be sure to check out the chamber music presentations. Very talented artists.
