Great fun, lively ship, WONDERFUL food! by lamainer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The variety of food items was surprisingly vast, all tasted great! The entertainment lacked just a bit, it seemed geared more toward younger people. Otherwise there were plenty of opportunities to relax or walk or eat depending on your mood. Decorated for Christmas beautifully... too much emphasis on selling goods and services but that's everywhere nowadays. The staff was attentive and friendly in every part of the ship.

Enchantment of the Seas pre-Christmas cruise by ybethalfredochristian3

My favorite part of the cruise was our accommodations. The room was outdated. But spacious. Yes, I would recommend this cruise to friends and family.

Such an amazing experience by brittrb

I went on the cruise with some classmates from my MBA program and it was exactly what we needed to bond! I would do it again any time. We were really able to bond on the boat and that is exactly what we needed.

Great Trip by johnshi45

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple

Great evening dining and services. We got the best services in our lifetime from the staffs on Table 100. Evening dining was excellent, however the lunch buffet was a little lacking for elderly people. We did not enjoy the lunch buffet very much. That was our only dislike.

Not what we needed as a family. by esltodd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The best part of this cruise was the main dinning hall. The service was outstanding and was over the top great with kids. My 8 yr old was in tears on the last night because he wasn't going to see his friend anymore. On the flip side when booking this cruise I ask if the kids activities included children with disabilities/special needs. I was told of course but that is not the case. My 11 yr old son who uses a wheelchair, was not allowed to stay in the kids area because they don't let  physically disabled children too, nor would they let my husband or myself stay with him so he could be apart. The first night of our cruise we were back in our room by 7:30 with tears in my eyes because he could not be apart. I never wanted a babysitter (I don't even leave him at home with a sitter) but I did not understanding why we could not stay with him so he could play the games as well. So if you happen to be part of the families that have a challenge this is not the cruise for your family. I pray no other mom pays this much money for a vacation only to sit in her room and feel so  isolated.

Great Value, Good Time by ajones91892467

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship has some visible wear & tear, but within expected guidelines.  The overall experience was great! Our balcony room was good - the mattress was a little lacking.  The only real complaint was ordering room service for breakfast, but it is partially my own fault also - 1 toast means 1 toast, not 2 pieces...lol.

Avoid! by hotelier

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Sub par service, rude, unprofessional , hard to understand staff, beverage package a deceptive way to steal money, bad tasting, cold, smelly food, fruit flies all over the buffet!

Gold member perks ruined cruise. Perks not clearly spelled out. Your Bogo for drinks only good for one time. This is hardly worth picking Ro by wolcan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

After my fourth cruise on Royal Caribbean lines will probably take next cruise on another cruise line. Gold perks not much worth it. Bogo drinks  for Gold members really was a joke only good for one time use the entire cruise plus limited drink choice was another disappointment. Back off of taking pictures around every corner. You need to realize passengers want to be able to relax some on their cruise. Entertainment show only had one women who could sing very good. Some singing as a duet was very poor. The comedian and juggler were only shows worth seeing. Entertainment was much better on other cruises. The cruise director was very funny.

3-days Bahamas on Enchantment of the Seas by mchevliakov

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Even though Enchantment of the Seas is not a new ship it is really well maintained, spacious and very convinint. Cabins are bigger than on the newer ships, it has 2 outside pools and one in the Solarium-3 pools is more than enough for the ship this size. It didn't feel crowded at all. Food in the buffer was good but the restaurant delivered really nice food and service.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Key west was great but it was the shortest stop on the cruise more time there would have been great.  Nassau was ok but very unorganised we wasted 2 hrs of our time there because of bad info from the ship.  The biggest problem i had on the whole trip was booking the plane tickets it was a nightmare took hours and multiple phone calls I was surprised it was so difficult since i booked the cruise through AA. It seems the airline is not sympathetic to the issue of getting on the cruise on time.

Better than we anticipated by Surrett

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Since neither of us had ever been on a cruise we were not exactly sure what to expect. Our stateroom was in the middle of level 4, which meant no windows or port holes to look out. Actually it was great because it was quiet in that part of the ship at night and the rooms without any view of the outside are less expensive. The crew was always friendly and helpful, and our rooms were cleaned or straightened up twice a day. The food was fabulous, and the variety was such that we were able to enjoy a different flavor each meal. We don't drink and we did not even purchase a soft drink package, but there was plenty of water, iced tea, lemonade, coffee or juice each meal at the buffet. We did not quite understand the "My Time" dining right away and missed out on the formal dinner in the "My Fair Lady" dining room, but enjoyed two dinners there after that. (Both the buffet in "The Windjammer" and the dinner in "My Fair Lady" are included in the cruise fare.) The excursion to Blue Lagoon Island was great because we had the opportunity to relax on a relatively uncrowded beach. We also took the excursion to go snorkeling while on Coco Cay Island (Royal Caribbean's private island) which was a great experience. The tropical fish and coral colors there were not quite the same as I experienced in Hawaii but beautiful, nonetheless. The crew of the excursion boat was very friendly and helpful. The only frustrating part of the cruise was the immigration process when returning to the U.S. in Key West, and then when disembarking in Miami. It  felt a bit unorganized, but getting that many people through customs in a short amount of time is always a challenge. Some more clear instructions or explanation of the process could have been helpful. (Figuring out where the lines were supposed to start or end, and exactly when our group was supposed to go was a bit confusing.) The daily cruise instruction sheets the crew left in our stateroom each evening explaining the next day's activities were very helpful. As far as what RC could to do make it better?   Perhaps turn up the temp in the hot tubs a degree or two, and turn down the temp of the ice cream machine a degree or two...hardly major problems, but when your ice cream falls off the cone because it is melting when it comes out of the machine, it makes it difficult to carry it to your spouse who is anxiously waiting for a cool treat! (My wife would say the AC in the ship was generally too cold, but she would probably say that about most venues.) We weren't looking for a million things to do, but there were more activities on the ship available than we could have completed if we tried--something for everyone.

Enchantment by OGYC

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was the only cruise where I had to ask for shampoo and conditioner and a robe.  My travel companion forgot toothpaste and he never found anywhere to buy.

The menu was not impressive.  The food was salty and not particularly good quality.

Main shows were not great.

Service was outstanding everywhere!  Wonderful cruise director's made the week fun.

I hate being without Internet for a week, but too expensive to purchase Internet time.

Download reading material before cruise to lighten your luggage.
