A little disappointed by IdaKaren

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I've cruised on RCC and this cruise just did not compare with the other. Staff was competent, no complaints, but nothing special either. Just not as personable as other cruises. Only things available to young teenagers were available for short periods of time.

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It wasnt the best ship. Food was really really bad. Best part was chops dinner. Reslly enjoyed that. It rained in port all day. Will choose a better ship next time. This ship is for retirement people.

Service good. Food so-so unless you pay for upgraded meals. Entertainment limited for kids but might be OK for adults. Dining options limited to Windjammer Cafe (buffet), Park Cafe (small food counter), My Fair Lady (formal dining room), Choppe Grill (extra cost) and Chef's Table (extra cost). Also, you will be charged for extra gratuities (full 20%) if going for the paid dining options in addition to the mandatory per person per day gratuities.

First time I was able to truly enjoy a vacation without thinking about work or the every day hustle and bustle of the home life. The customer service that was provided was absolutely astounding! The employees always remembered us, always had a smile on their face and truly made my anniversary rememberable! Thank you so much to the crew on enchantment of the seas, I will be seeing you soon.

Great Food, nice people...need more activities by cjessup316

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I would definitely recommend additional activities for night time. Increase the Karaoke time and make the deck less slippery. The food was great...our Waiter and Waiter in training Abhijit & Iketut were great and Connie in activities was amazing.

Anniversary cruise by carolinachrista

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our third royal Caribbean cruise. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously! My only complaint was that the food was very lacking this trip. We always looked forward to the food, especially dinner in the main dining room. It all seemed very premade and dry not like the normal fresh, fine dining that it used to be. I also felt like some of the bars were either understaffed or not as happy as other places. They also implemented a new rule of no drinks in or even near the pool, not even water! The stateroom attendant was amazing, the on board entertainment was amazing. Overall we had a great time!

First time cruisers by samanthatucker2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The overall experience was good. I would however read more reviews before I book my next cruise experience. Do your research on excursions and make sure you bring extra cash for WiFi and all the extra costs.

A decent boat... by jenniferanne555

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This boat is old and you can see the years on it. The carpet is dirty, the chairs were stained and there was rust everywhere. All in all, we had a great time. The staff did well fixing the many issues we had (room keys wouldn't work and had to be fixed 3x, flooded room, flooded 2nd room, wrong dining time, etc). The kids club seemed very basic but my boys- 6 and 8- LOVED it and the staff was great with the kids. Nassau is Nassau. We did the Blue Lagoon Stingray tour. It was meh, at best. You get about 30 seconds to pet a stingray in the water, then sit back down on the dock to wait for the others. There were 2 groups, and luckily, we were first. We stayed and watched the 2nd group while my son snorkeled with the rays (very cool for him), and we saw the stingrays were not interested by the the time the 2nd group was in the water. They weren't hungry anymore and wouldn't come up for fish. Coco Cay is a nice island but we had some major complaints. The boat ride is short and nice, but the boat itself... it is 2 decks. The top deck HAS NO COVER. The seats are a dark blue and it felt like sitting on a lava rock. People were being burned through their clothes and towels. Besides being burned, you also sit and wait for the boat to fill in the extreme summer heat and sun with no shade. We were literally baking. Once we made it to the island, it was beautiful with a lot of different beach areas and shallow lagoons. It was great for the kids to play safely by the shore. That said, again, there was essentially no shade. You can rent umbrellas for the chairs but if you don't then you can't even lay out in the sun because it is unrelenting. Rows upon rows of chairs were just empty- you never see that. The buffet included was nice but there were pretty much no vegetarian options. So if you don't eat meat, be ready for bread, rice and beans, and some fruit. We only stayed about 3 hours on the island because we were all burning even with layers of sunscreen. For my boys and their first time cruising, they loved it and that was all that mattered to me. However for myself, I would not go back on the boat unless it was about half the cost. It felt more on a Carnival cruise level than Royal.

Terrific crew makes all the difference by ecatl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Enchantment of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

How the crew operates and treats you on such a large scale operation as a cruise ship makes all the difference in the world. In this case, they met and surpassed all our expectations. Everyone was friendly and attentive and made this a very memorable experience. We weren’t regular cruise goers before this so this will definitely come up on our next vacation plans.
