Review summary

Enchantment was an underwhelming ship to say the least. The lack of dining options and things to do really was frustrating. The ship is just so outdated. I just learned that the older, smaller ships aren't for me. Give me an Oasis class ship any day.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Pretty painless aside from the miserable terminal lady screaming at everyone

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Had prime rib in the MDR that was pretty good on Day 1 but everything else was brutal. There just aren't many dining options on this ship. The themed nights are fine but when that's all you offer at the Windjammer too, it's a problem. Staff was also extremely slow to clear tables which constantly made it hard to find a seat.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Really not much to do onboard. Pool was solid but that's about it.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The broadway mashup show was decent

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward Shiva was amazing and constantly had our room spotless. He was so nice and helpful. While I didn't love Enchantment, a few members of the crew stood out. Edwin and Felix were so sweet and entertaining. Their talents belong on one of the bigger ships and are being wasted on Enchantment:

Ship Quality

So much wasted space

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
We had a junior suite on the aft of the ship that had a huge balcony. Plenty of space and a nice room. Only complaint is that the bed was fairly uncomfortable. Easily the hardest mattress I've ever slept on.

Ship tip

Don't sail on Enchantment unless you enjoy terrible food and being bored out of your mind

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida

Baltimore, Maryland

Easy embarkation and disembarkation. Cheap parking was a nice bonus.

Nassau, Bahamas

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
We had The Key and the crew had no idea what the disembarkation process was for us. Other people that had The Key had the same issue. We eventually found somebody that found out the process but most of the crew were incredibly clueless. A terrible end to a terrible cruise.
