Review summary

I was traveling with my wife and a group of old friends from grade school, we had been looking for a short cruise that would be fun for a few days. This cruise fit the bill. The ship was not so large that we got lost in large crowds nor did we have a long wait for anything we wanted to do. We were disappointed that out excursion was canceled. Room accommodations were good, the food was okay, and the staff made the trip very enjoyable. It was our first-time cruising with RCL, we normally go with HAL, but I'm sure we will come back to another RCL cruise sometime.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Happy that we had booked a suite. Having express check-in was a blessing by saving at least an hour at check-in

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food was generally good, nothing extraordinary, even in the "specialty restaurants"

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Pools were not crowded, the spa was pleasant.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment in the Centrum was good and the short performances in the bars was okay.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was very attentive to your needs. Our room steward as great, we always had what we needed, and he was available for any special requests. The dining room staff was fun and very helpful. In general, the staff was friendly to all.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean, it's old, but has been refurbished, it's a long walk to some of the venues depending upon cabin placement.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Spacious, clean, all the amenities were supplied, with the exception of a bedside plug for needed Cpap machine. The ship supplied an extension cord, but that could have been a trip hazard during the night.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

4 out of 5
Our excursion was cancelled by the tour operator. We took our own tour of the island by taxi and had lunch in Hamilton. If we had more time, we would have spent more time exploring.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
This worked just fine, and luggage was wafting and easy to locate, transport was at the curb.
