Review summary

I waited 3 years to travel due to the pandemic. This cruise was a major disappointment and not at all what I’ve come to expect from previous experience on Royal ships

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent embarkation process, went very smooth

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
In the Main dining room the food was cold and disappointing every day. Buffet food was about the same. It was a total letdown since I had come to expect much more from previous cruises

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
All pools have no steps, only ladders so I was unable to use them due to neuropathy in my legs

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Cruise director was awesome as was the band on the pool deck but the big screen on the pool deck was not working which was disappointing. The only show was a magician who did card tricks which could not be seen where we were sitting. We actually walked out.

Children's Programs

No children

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Room steward never had our room made up before 4 pm and we only received one towel animal. Bar service was very slow as was service in main dining room

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
There were lots of rust stains including a very large one on side of boat. A simple coat of paint would make the appearance so much better

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
First time in an interior room and I was pleasantly surprised, lots of storage for clothes and other essentials

Ship tip

Don’t go!

Ports of call
