Review summary

We had high expectations for this cruise that fell short. The Baltimore Port was a total disaster. This long awaited cruise was a disappointment.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
We waited in a line to park for well over one hour. The parking attendants were chaotic. It was a full blown disaster. Then the line to check-in was equally as bad. Had to stand in line in the heat for over 2 hours. Ridiculous.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The service in the dining areas was very good. The food and drinks in the buffet area was often not replenished or was out completely (especially the drinks).

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Pool area was very crowded. Several days it was roped off. Tables and chairs were not cleaned.

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The headliners were not good! Better music and entertainment in the lounges and Centrum.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Would have given 5 stars but had one incident with buffet area that was not pleasant. Main dining staff and cabin attendant were exceptional.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was good. All kept very clean with exception of pool area tables.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Adequate size; great oceanview window; clean.

Ship tip

Try to get a cabin near an elevator and on an upper deck.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

This port was ok. Very disappointing that the day we arrived at 4pm by the time we got off the ship everything in this area was closed at 5pm. This was a wasted day. Be prepared for lots of walking.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
Chaos once again. All luggage at terminal was not regulated. You could literally walk out with anyone's luggage. In fact, that's exactly what happened to us. Someone took our bag (instead of their own). This meant filing a report at the terminal, another one online, and it has yet to be returned. It was located but I was asked to drive over an hour one way to pick it up at my own expense. Had there been a better process for luggage pickup, this would not have happened.

So have you received your bag? I personally would have driven to pick it up myself by now.

Mark your bag so it can’t be confused with another

Every cruise, train, bus, or airport I have been to has used the honor system of picking up luggage. Could you imagine the long wait if everyone had to prove their luggage belonged to them? That would be actually be chaotic. The solution is to make your luggage unique so it is not mistaken. Tie a ribbon, put a sticker, etc. I saw one with a large tag "THIS IS NOT YOUR BAG!"

I was thinking about a cruise from there-not anymore. Our best port has been In California. Thanks for sharing.
