As I said in my title, the cruise went better than expected. We only missed 1 port (St. Croix) because we had too many cases of COVID (1.2%). As I understand it, they got the infected crew members off the ship at St. Maarten and, we didn't miss another port. BTW, we went to Antigua in place of St. Lucia where I got do a very nice walking tour of St. John. As I understand it, we had around 40% occupancy which was unreal. There was no problem getting a Centrum or pool chair. This made it easy to social distance barring the hallways. Overall, barring the Windjammer dinner issue, I was very pleased with this cruise. It did go better than I thought it would.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
I'm Diamond Plus and, I was disappointed when they got rid of all the different level lines except for those who were Pinnacle or in a suite. I don't like standing in a long line waiting to check in. I will say to their credit that they were making sure everyone had been tested for the virus and if applicable, had their vaccination cards.

Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I marked them down on this one because the Windjammer Cafe was closed for dinner for the cruise. It was open for breakfast and lunch which confounded me a bit. I really prefer eating at the Windjammer because I can get in and out quickly. I don't care for long drawn out meals.

Service and Staff
5 out of 5
I felt sorry for the ship personnel because as I understand it, they weren't allowed to leave the ship. Also, I believe they were undermanned which meant more work for everyone. That said, they did an excellent job.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was very clean and, they had people going around with buckets of disinfectant repeatedly sanitizing the many tables. There were even cards on them letting you if they had been sanitized.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
I had the usual outstanding cabin steward who kept the cabin immaculate and created some neat towel animals which I really liked. I did have 1 unusual problem in that my cabin door lock crapped out twice so, it wouldn't lock. I reported it both times and, ship's maintenance was prompt in fixing it. It would've been nice if it had stayed fixed.
I did an excursion that took you to a former sugar plantation where you got to try a Bajan rum punch and tour the former plantation house. The guide was very funny as they made the samples. Later, we visited a very nice country church with some stunning views of the ocean.
I'm a Platinum member (soon to be Emerald) and when I asked about the priority check-in line, I was told they got rid of it because people used that as the complaint line rather than the check-in line.
Interesting to note the changes between your January cruise and our March Cruise aboard the Enchantment. Occupancy was up to 70%. Staff was excellent as always but still seemed lacking in number. All dining venues operated normally except on port days when lunch would alternate between MDR and Windjammer. Glad you enjoyed your cruise.
