Embarkation

We had the Key, we were on the ship fast. But if you did not have it it was still fast.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had a Chops Grille lunch the first day and it was outstanding. We ate most meals in the MDR...food and waiters (Jilmer and Mislav) were the best. They were attentive when they needed to be and respectful. We had anytime dining and sat at their station the first day and everyday after. We also used the Park Cafe in the Solarium for the quick service. Salads, pizza, soups and roast beef. Good times

Onboard Activities

What ever you do do not miss the Battle of the Sexes or the Crazy Quest game shows(adults 18+) Go ready to see thing You thought would not happen. The Love and Marriage show should not be missed. The egg drop challenge was great to watch.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows comedians and singers. Shows were spot on the singers and dancers went beyond to give great performances. The comedians were great. It was great seeing my wife snort and laugh uncontrollably. Darryl Williams sang a concert for us...he sang songs byWhitney Houston, Lionel Richie and Stevie Wonder. Along with his stories and giving back to our children. Great night.

Service and Staff

Jilmer and Mislav made ever night wonderful for us. Muhammad also. We enjoyed our MDR experience. Bartenders remembered my drink(s) Overall the staff that I ran into were very nice and always willing to talk about our time on the ship and answered questions about themselves.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
So many people in reviews complained about rust. Ok there is rust. A metal ship in salty water equals rust. When we arrived and left the ship I saw painting of the outside walls and cleaning decks Though the ship was not a mega ship I still would get lost Or turned around for the first two days. The size and layout was perfect for my 52 year old knees. The crew keep every spot on board spotless. And I do not recall anything broken.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had room 8049 interior room. At first I thought it was small. But the size was great. The shower was great..fast hot water for showers. Agus our steward was fantastic. Everything I asked for he got for me. I needed a fan an extension cord extra pillows he got in less than a minute upon asking. He kept our room very clean

Ship tip

If you are buying the wifi package look into the Key Program. Wifi is included in the program. So it is worth it if you are already buying wifi. We made friends everywhere went went on the ship. What they all had in common was that they all lived in Texas. Major shot outs to Carol and Roger, we sang happy birthday for Roger!s 72nd birthday. Great people. And shout out to Amy and David....great stories and thinking about it you both should write a book. There were a couple ( forgot names, he is tall and she is beautiful)who thought I was a movie star which the infected the couple Jessica and Albert. Also wonderful people. I took pictures with both and I hope the sell it on eBay one day. Loved meeting you all. A cruise is what you make it. So make it fun.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Stayed at Island Retreat Airbnb hosted by Lynn. She and Jimm along with their old dog, Bentley were warm and welcoming. She also offered parking and ride to and from the port. Which we loved because it took the hassle of all that away. Thanks Lynn. Galveston was a great place to explore...we went antique shopping. Do not for get to go to their Goodwill or RCC thrift store, we found some great stuff there. Don't forget to walk on the beach while there. Parking is very cool. We read sign, downloaded app and paid $2 for 3 hours of parking anywhere along beachside street parking

Cozumel, Mexico

We walking downtown exploring the shops and scenic views. We are into wooden mask and found a vendor working in an alley between two shops. His name Is Jesus. Great deals on masks and very friendly. You know it is a good deal when you walk away not feeling icky.

It went great once we got to the port. There was fog which delayed out docking by four hours This is beyond anyone's control And the Captain kept us well informed and made sure we were comfortable While we waited.
