Review summary

The only upside of this cruise was the staff. We very much like Marwi, JoeNell and Lenin. The activities were cheap and boring. We could not visit the bar areas or the casino because of the cigarette smoke. We signed up for a cupcake decorating class but it was in the middle of the centrum and obviously meant for children. It was a mess and we did not participate. The food was only adequate- the juices were watered down and the ice cream machine had liquid ice cream. I have been on carnival cruises before and had been told they royal Caribbean was vastly better, not true.

At first our experience was “gross”. We found hair balls and barrettes on the floor. We told our housekeeping gentleman and everything from then on was great.

Ship tip

Don’t go. It is a smoker’s cruise. Not clean rooms. Mediocre good. Old ship. Boring- take a book.

I agree with JT1962, try a cruise on an Oasis class ship. Wonderful entertainment, a wide selection of activities and food. Longer itineraries generally atract a different audience. It's nearly impossible to be bored with ship activities and the more comprehensive Port excursions.

You are misrepresenting things. The only place you are allowed to smoke is in the casino and an outside designated area. No smoking allowed anywhere else on the ship is allowed.

I would not judge an entire cruise line by this cruise. It is an older ship on a shorter itinerary primarily aimed at first time and budget conscious cruisers. A longer itinerary on a newer ship will usually give you a much better experience
