Review summary

Although RCL's Enchantment of the Seas is an older cruise vessel, we were very pleased with our cruise.  The staff was most attentive, serving, and helpful.  We found the ship to be clean and well maintained.  The entertainment was family friendly and, except for the final evening, kept at a tolerable volume.  Even at night while others kept going we were able to retire and sleep without the loud, obnoxious, bleating & beating we had to suffer on the Carnival cruise we took last year, loud "so called" music we could feel as well as hear in our stateroom.   We were disappointed weather kept us from the private island and not being compensated for missing that port of call, but in every other way we were completely satisfied.  The way the staff, including senior staff, kept making sure we were being satisfactorily served and had no questions.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
With one exception that was average, all other food was exceptionally flavorful. It was great being able to dine without seeing other guests clad only in swim trunks also dining, in defiance of posted rules, as was the case with Carnival.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The singing talent was excellent. All entertainment we participated in was tremendous, other entertainment was not to our taste.

Ship tip

Dinning staff was very helpful in describing and recommending dishes that were not familiar to us. Announcements were at a volume that still left one's hearing intact. Boarding and deboarding the ship seemed much smoother, especially for shore excursions. The security teams were very courteous.
