Enchantment of the Seas

5 Night Bermuda (Baltimore Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 23, 2011

Ship: Enchantment of the Seas

Cabin type: Suite

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 13 years ago

Review summary

The ship was old and the rooms were below par. The food, especially the "casual dining" options, were awful. RC nickeled and dimed every expense and was far more expensive than other cruise lines. We loved Bermuda, but dreaded getting back on-board the ship. The Enchantment of the Seas should be retired...the pools/amenities were horrible, the elevators and automatic doors often didn't work, and there were too many children running around unattended (children under 16 had a 1:00 a.m. curfew and they roamed the halls and decks alone).

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Absolutely disgusting and few formal dining choices

Entertainment

Children's Programs

Children ran wild on the boat and were often unattended into the wee hours of the morning (they had a 2:00 a.m. curfew)

Ship Quality

Yikes...too old to still be sailing, especially considering the price of the cruise and the suite we paid for.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Our suite was old, dirty, and was NOT worth the money we paid for it...a junior suite didn't even include something as simple as an alarm clock.

Ports of call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The most beautiful beaches and the nicest people of any island we've ever visited. One vista/beach was more beautiful than the last.
Don't Miss: Tobacco Bay; King's Wharf and Snorkel Beach

Pros: Nightclubs

Cons: Quality of accomodations & ship
