Review summary

This was a great cruise! Next time we’ll consider going in February or March, though, due to the heat and humidity!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
The initial embarkation was a bit hectic due to technical difficulties, but not horrible. There was plenty of Princess staff on scene to help move hinges along.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Except for the first night of long wait lines into main dining rooms, the service and food was great throughout the ship. We’re not seafood lovers, but many friends were bragging about the food at “The Catch” specialty restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Fun and educational activities were available throughout the trip.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Top notch entertainment! Especially enjoyed the variety of musicians performing throughout the ship.

Children's Programs

Not many children on this trip.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We experienced great service all around. Our room steward was most likely new to her position, but very pleasant and accommodating to our requests throughout the trip.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
We not really a fan of the design and layout of this ship. Really missed an outside deck going around the entire ship like several other ships we’ve cruised on, but it’s not a game changer for us cruising on this ship again.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We were at the very front of the ship and LOVED the huge balcony!!! We anticipated a little extra wind and motion with this stateroom, but no issues at all.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Port was organized, taxi was readily available, we rented a car and drove to the Everglades at our leisure.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Tendering process was organized. We visited the island for a couple of hours. It was an average experience. Princes could do a little better…

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

4 out of 5
Beautiful! Great scenery, prepare for very hot and humid weather. We were disappointed with the rude vendors on the island. They definitely need to step up their hospitality manners to tourists. Several other cruisers also made comments about how rude the local vendors were, in general.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

5 out of 5

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Perfect disembarkation. Very organized and timely.

Awesome review! And I feel you about the heat. I don’t cruise from May-September because it’s just too much for me.

We went on Caribbean Princess in May of 2023 on 3 BTB and I have to agree the Caribbean at that time of year is way too hot!
