Review summary

We had 3 days of rough seas and itinerary change with very noisy cabin. Ship was small and not crowded. Shows were great and always seating available. We like to relax and read on our balcony, which was really hard to do on this ship.

Embarkation

Small ship = no lines, and the "suite" treatment helps.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Main dining is where we like to eat, choose something new to try our a standard favorite. Watch out the description if deserts is a bit off. Example: chocolate bar is actually a layer of chocolate cake with a layer of chocolate moose on top. I must say this is the first RC cruise that we weren't offered tea or lemonade at main dinning, just water or order something from bar. Windjammer buffet always had good choices but sometimes an item was not hot, like the chicken sausage for breakfast.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I would have enjoyed mini golf or a water slide, but this is the smallest ship!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Loved the Headliners, Bill Cook is AMAZING! Off and on throughout most afternoons and evenings there would be a game or singing in the Centrum.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was quick to help when asked or if they noticed that look of confusion they would ask if you needed anything.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved that you didn't have to walk through the casino, there was a good flow around it. I try to stay away because of the smoke, but this ship didn't seem to be too full of smokers. Staff was always cleaning.

Cabin / Stateroom

This was the only option for a balcony, it is listed as a junior suite but it is not, just a plain old balcony room. Right under the pool deck, so you hear everything and every move of a chair, cart, foot, music, dancing, EVERYTHING! Iddy Biddy shower, smaller than an RV! Water kept leaking out from under bathroom wall and getting carpet wet. We had a giant blower in our room off and on over the cruise to dry out the carpet. It leaked even when we didn't shower for a whole day. Then we had the loudest neighbors, who liked to facetime on the balcony, listen too music on the balcony, and party till the a.m. on the balcony. The sound travels well and made it hard for everyone around to enjoy there own balcony. We called security on then twice, and the noise stopped briefly, then they would drop shoes and scrape the wall in retaliation.

Ship tip

Do not stay on deck 9 even though it is the only way to get a balcony!

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Did not explore the port or Miami. But the port facility was well layed out and organized.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Everyone was nice. We a beach bungalow but then we were upgraded to an over the water beach cabana. We were in the furthest one out on the point, away from people, it was quiet for a while. The attendant checked on us regularly for drink orders and brought us extra towels. The buffets were great.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Because of rough seas we didn't get to port till after 6pm, so all excursions where cancelled. We did do a bit of shopping and ate at Gringoes.

Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda, B.V.I. Did not visit port

Weather was too windy to tender, so we went to St. Croix. St. Croix was beautiful and quiet, they should come there more often. We did the panoramic tour and still have time to eat, shop and visit the beach afterwards.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Dreat port with shopping and food. We actually took a taxi to the Yacht Haven Grande Marina for a charter sail & snorkel. Ate at the Navy Beach Restaurant and then took a taxi back and shopped at Crown Bay port.

Disembarkation

We did self-assist since we had a flight to catch. Very well organized with lining up lugged to hold your place in line to get off while you could sit in the theatre and have a drink and snack. Once cleared by port authority everything went fast and smoothly.
